Purdue University is a coeducational, state-assisted system in Indiana. Founded in 1869 and named after benefactor John Purdue, the University is one of the nation’s leading research institutions with a reputation for excellent and affordable education. The Office of the Provost is responsible for all of the academic schools and programs on the West Lafayette Campus, and provides academic program oversight for each of the regional campuses as well. The Office of the Provost is also responsible for the coordination of activities in the offices of Student Services, Continuing Education and Conferences, International Programs, and the Graduate School. It also coordinates the offices of Information Technology and the office of Space Management and Academic Scheduling at Purdue.
