Boilermaker Regional

About Us > Privacy Policy

The Boilermaker Regional Planning Committee takes participant privacy and the security of personal information very seriously.

What we collect

  • We collect personal information for students and mentors participating in the regional event through Team Registration, carried out by each team's leadership.
  • Like many websites, we use analytical services provided by Google to automatically record information when you visit our website, including the URLs, IP address, browser type and language, and the date and time of your request. Google's privacy policy is available here.

How we use it

  • We may share aggregated, non-personal information with parties we trust.
  • In order to provide a safe and secure environment, we will require registration (on or offline) for students and mentors to verify admission to the Team Social dinner and event.
  • We may share personal information with offices within Purdue University (such as the Office of Admissions).
  • We may also share information with third parties in limited circumstances, such as when complying with legal process, preventing fraud or imminent harm, and ensuring the security of our network and services.

Your choices

  • You may choose to contact us (or register when required) by alternate methods, such as by telephone or fax.
  • You may contact us to confirm, correct, or delete the information we have, as well as address your complaints and inquiries.

Children under 13

  • In compliance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, effective April 21, 2000, youth under the age of 13 may not enter personal information (such as name, address, email address) in any online systems without parental consent. When we collect information on children under the age of 13 from team leaders, we expect that this has been obtained with verified parental consent prior to collection. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without the required parental consent, we will delete that information as soon as possible.
